Eisenhower welcomes new NHS members

TSnews GODDARD – Eisenhower High School inducted a total of 49 new students into the National Honor Society (NHS). There are 13 senior new members and 36 junior new members who joined 37 second year members.

Raiders earn all-league honors

ARGONIA – Several members of the Argonia High School volleyball teamed have earned South Central Border League honors for the 2023 season. Two sophomores, Tori Morrison and Autumn Coleman, led the way by being named to the first team.

K-State plans winter canola field tours

Kansas State University, Scoular and the Great Plains Canola Association will host field tours in Kingman and Sumner counties on Nov. 6 to highlight marketing of winter canola and fall management decisions.

Mystery dinner theater this weekend

HAYSVILLE – The annual mystery dinner theater improv show, staged by the Haysville Friends of the Library, will take place this Friday and Saturday. The event starts at 6:30 p.m., and doors open at 6 p.m.

Hazardous waste event is Saturday

Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host a free household hazardous waste collection event, open to all Sedgwick County residents, at Garden Plain High School on Saturday, Nov. 4.

Clearwater SADD chapter best in Kansas

The Clearwater High School Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD) chapter was named the Outstanding SADD Chapter in Kansas. The trophy was awarded at the ninth annual statewide SADD conference, held at Rock Springs Ranch in October. Attorney General Robert T. Stephan was the master of ceremonies.
