Using Instagram post data, including location hashtags, the company looked at nearly 185,000 posts tagged “sunset” on Instagram. Kansas was 10th globally, with 42,511. Three other United States locations made the top 10. Maui, Hawaii, came in No. 4, San Diego ranked No. 5, and Key West, Fla., was No. 8. The top spot for sunsets was Bali, Indonesia, with almost 185,000 Instagram posts. Other members of the top were, in descending order: Santorini, Greece; Ibiza, Spain; London; Sydney, Australia; and Boracay, Philippines.
