TSnews A few weeks ago, Goddard Public Schools held a first-ever job fair in an effort to fill open positions. This district has needs in a variety of areas, including para educators, maintenance, transportation and in nutrition services.

TSnews Price Family Farms entered a whopping 17.5-pound cabbage in the Sedgwick County Fair, earning the grand champion purple ribbon and first place blue ribbon. The cabbage was grown by Thalene Chard.

In a bizarre take on ‘holy trinity,’ three new pastors have recently started at three different churches. Etienna Mertel is one those new Clearwater pastors, speaking for the First Christian Church of Clearwater.

GARDEN PLAIN – At its meeting last week, the Garden Plain City Council voted to purchase two radar speed signs. The signs will give real-time feedback on speed of travel, encouraging drivers to follow the speed limit.

It may seem, at times, that today’s busy lifestyles rarely leave us with enough time or energy for a brisk walk, jog, bike ride or swim. But where good health is concerned, science never sides with the couch potato.

ARGONIA – The community of Argonia has been chosen as one of two cities to participate in a new state program to help Kansas cities grow and attract visitors. Argonia and Colby are the first cities to be part of the Kansas Spaces to Places program, a community development placemaking program.

GODDARD – Benjamin Mannette, a 2019 graduate of Goddard High School, graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. Louis University in May.
