Local opposition to data centers is strong and growing

TSnews The effort to keep data centers out of rural Sedgwick County is strong and organized, and the latest opportunity for people to express their opposition was Monday night in Garden Plain. A large crowd of people showed up at Garden Plain High School to hear a presentation by a panel of people.

Show to highlight student artists

TSnews GODDARD – The annual Goddard Woman’s Club will host its annual student art show this weekend. The show features artwork created by students at Goddard, Eisenhower, Garden Plain and Cheney high schools, and will take place in the lobby at Dove Estates Senior Living Community, 1400 S.

Severe weather program is Thursday

SEDGWICK COUNTY – One last severe weather program will take place this Thursday in Haysville. Each year, Sedgwick County Emergency Management offers a severe weather safety program at various locations around the county.

Farm Bureau to host legislative update

SUMNER COUNTY – Sumner County Farm Bureau will host a legislative update with Kansas representatives and senators. The gathering will take place on April 4 at Cowley College- Sumner County in the Short Education Center, room 113, at 2208 Davis-White Loop in Wellington.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Summer Drivers Education sign up will begin on Monday, March 23, and close at the end of the day Friday, April 3. The cost to enroll is $130, which must be paid at the time of signing up.
