Vehicle-deer crashes can happen any day of the year on Kansas roadways. Across the state, 39 percent of all single-vehicle crashes in 2024 involved a collision with a deer. The Kansas Department of Transportation reports five people were killed and 674 people were injured in collisions with deer in 2024.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Municipal Court in Conway Springs could be in for some major changes in the near future. At their meeting last week, members of the Conway Springs City Council heard a report from their police chief, noting how the court's expenses are far exceeding the revenues that are coming in from fines and court costs.

TSnews GODDARD – Improvements to Hawkins Lane – the public conduit to Tanganyika Wildlife Park – have hit a snag. The Goddard City Council solicited bids to construct sewer, stormwater and water infrastructure and to pave the road.

TSnews GODDARD – The Eisenhower High School Performing Arts Department will bring a disco feel to the stage this week when it presents “Mamma Mia!” as its musical Thursday through Saturday at EHS. Showtimes for the musical are 7 p.m.
