Provider to change for Friendship Meals program

When the new year arrives, there will be a new meal provider for the Friendship Meals and Meals on Wheels program in several local communities. The Central Plains Area Agency on Aging (CPAAA) and provider Everfull have announced a transition of meal services starting on Jan.

Just smile and order more Chinese food

From the Editor’s Files Why is it that Asian food sounds so good around American holidays? I’m not sure I can answer that question with any real authority, but I can sure take a stab at it.

Saturday to bring holiday fun

TSnews Another round of community holiday events are planned for Saturday. Clearwater will get an early start and go throughout the day, Argonia will host afternoon and evening festivities, and Cheney, Goddard and Haysville will have their annual celebrations starting in the late afternoon.

8 Years Ago Casey Hostetler, an athlete with the Haysville Hornets Special Olympics sports team, has been awarded one of Special Olympics’ highest awards, the Big 12 Female Athlete of the Year award for 2017-2018.
