Beck is the winner of this year’s $1,000 Helen Norris Memorial Scholarship, which she was awarded at the association’s annual meeting in August.

TSnews It appears that rumors of summer’s demise in the area might have been a bit exaggerated. After a recent stretch of cooler- than-normal temperatures prompted speculation that fall had arrived early – highs last weekend were in the 70s and nighttime lows were in the 50s – temperatures began to warm into the 80s earlier this week, with lows creeping back into the 60s.
