Vehicle-deer crashes can happen any day of the year on Kansas roadways. Across the state, 39 percent of all single-vehicle crashes in 2024 involved a collision with a deer.

Goddard rejects Hawkins Lane bid

TSnews GODDARD – Improvements to Hawkins Lane – the public conduit to Tanganyika Wildlife Park – have hit a snag. The Goddard City Council solicited bids to construct sewer, stormwater and water infrastructure and to pave the road.

Eisenhower High to perform ‘Mamma Mia!’

TSnews GODDARD – The Eisenhower High School Performing Arts Department will bring a disco feel to the stage this week when it presents “Mamma Mia!” as its musical Thursday through Saturday at EHS. Showtimes for the musical are 7 p.m.

Hill named parade grand marshal

Staff report TSnews CHENEY – Garden Plain resident Wendell Hill will be the grand marshal at Saturday’s Veterans Day parade, held in Cheney and sponsored by American Legion Post 295. The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m., and will move north on Main Street.
