Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers golf team will be in the field at the Class 5A State tournament in Hutchinson next week, as will the Goddard Lions’ Sydney Chapman. Chapman had the best overall finish from either team, tying for third place with a round of 84.

Cardinals tame Black Bears for another win

Body TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals football team took another step toward a district championship with last Friday’s 38-13 home victory over the Sterling Black Bears. The Cardinals moved to 3-0 in Class 1A District 7, and are now 4-2 overall with four consecutive wins.

Everything goes right in Cheney’s blowout victory

Body TSnews Everything seemed to go right for the Cheney Cardinals in their 46-0 homecoming win over the Smoky Valley Vikings, starting with the opening kickoff. Jack Voth returned the opening kick 80 yards for a 7-0 lead, the first of his three touchdowns in the game.

Lions shut down Jags for homecoming win

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions gave the homecoming crowd at Goddard District Stadium plenty to cheer about in a 35-21 football win over the Andover Central Jaguars last Friday. This was a back-and-forth game into the third quarter, although the Lions never trailed.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians volleyball team continued its hot streak this season as it ran its winning streak to 12 games by sweeping a triangular last Tuesday with Winfield and Augusta. The Indians downed Winfield 25-18, 25-14 and Augusta 25-16, 25-12.
