The visiting Cunningham Wildcats shut out the Argonia-Attica Titans football team 40-0 last Friday in Attica. It was a tough game for the Titans, who fall to 2-2 after a pair overwhelming district victories.
TSnews An early deficit and costly turnovers hurt the Campus football team as the Colts sought their first win of the season last Friday. Instead, it was the previously unbeaten Hutchinson Salthawks who got the victory 43-13 over the Colts on homecoming night in Haysville.
TSnews A pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns helped the Goddard Lions football team to a 28-21 win at the Newton Railers last Friday. The Lions improved to 2-2.
TSnews With a 42-12 win over the Moundridge Wildcats, the Conway Springs Cardinals football team picked up its first win this season at home last Friday. Moundridge scored early for a 6-0 lead, but the Cardinals responded with back-to-back touchdowns.
TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls tennis team took second place at last Tuesday’s Doug Gayer Classic in McPherson, finishing with 72 points as the host Bullpups won the tournament with 90 points. Quinn Scheideman went 4-0 in singles play, while teammate Brittany King finished 3-2.
TSnews Campus and Goddard runners took part in the Rim Rock Classic on Saturday in Lawrence. This is a big race, and was one of two major races in the state that featured local teams.
Cherry Oaks Golf Course hosted a high school girls golf tournament for the second time in a week on Monday as Andale-Garden Plain hosted its own tournament with three local teams there. Leading the way was the other team which calls Cherry Oaks home, as Cheney finished fifth with a score of 369.
The Eisenhower Tigers won their first soccer game of the season last Thursday, beating the Campus Colts 1-0 in a game played at Colt Stadium in Haysville. The Tigers broke a three-game losing streak.
