Body TSnews TORONTO, ONTARIO – One of the top receivers in this year’s Canadian Football League season is Haysville native Tyler Kahmann.

Body TSnews GODDARD – The Kansas Curve summer collegiate team, which play their home games in Clearwater, is the 2026 champion of the SummerBall Showdown, played annually at the Genesis Sports Complex in Goddard.

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – A new adult baseball team is forming in Conway Springs. The Wichita Independent Baseball League (WIBL) is a newly forming adult amateur baseball league designed to provide organized baseball opportunities for players throughout Wichita and south-central Kansas.

Body EMPORIA – The Kansas Shrine Bowl all-star football game will be played in Emporia on Saturday. Local players taking part in the game include Emrick Hays, linebacker, of Garden Plain; Nolan Durr, defensive lineman, of Cheney; and Braxton Koller, offensive lineman of Goddard.

Body Post-season awards are coming out for baseball, starting with all-league honors. Numerous local players have been included on their leagues’ honors lists.

Body The Eisenhower Tigers soccer team nabbed the top awards in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. II. Kaeleigh Shamburger, a junior, was named as player of the year. Roger Downing was named as the coach of the year.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians girls won the Class 4A 4x100-meter relay on Saturday at the State track and field meet, which took place last weekend at Wichita State University.

Body TSnews A large contingent of Cheney Cardinals took part in the Class 3A State track and field meet last week, earning a good collection of medals. Autry Young placed second in the shot put.

Body TSnews Garden Plain’s Brant Long, a junior, earned three medals at the Class 3A State track and field meet, which was held last Friday and Saturday at Wichita State University. Long battled for the State championship in high jump before finally settling for silver.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts turned in some of their best performances of the season at the State track and field meet at Wichita State University, held last weekend.
