Collegiate spoils Clearwater’s homecoming night

TSnews The Collegiate Spartans, one of the top-ranked teams in Class 3A, turned in a dominant performance in beating the Clearwater Indians 55-8 in last Friday’s homecoming football game in Clearwater. In addition to suffering a loss in their district opener, the Indians also played without key senior Bryson Snell, who is out for the year due to an injury.

TSnews Three local golf teams competed last Friday in Buhler High School’s 16-team tournament, which was played at Hesston Golf Course. The Eisenhower Tigers and Cheney Cardinals finished withing a couple of strokes of each other.

TSnews A big night running the football combined with a good defense helped the Garden Plain Owls football team to a 21-7 road victory over the Medicine Lodge Indians. The win improved the Owls’ record to 2-1 as they get ready to begin district play.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers scored 14 unanswered points to secure a 21-7 road victory in persistent rain at the Valley Center Hornets in last Friday’s football game. The win put the Tigers in unchartered territory.
