TSnews The Clearwater Indians opened the era of new head coach Justin Burke with a big 33-6 road win over the El Dorado Wildcats last Friday. The Indians put up 33 unanswered points before the Wildcats managed a late score.

TSnews The Argonia-Attica Titans put up 26 first-quarter points en route to a 48-0 shutout victory over the Norwich Eagles. The game ended in the third quarter on the 45-point run rule.

TSnews A blocked punt returned for a touchdown gave the Eisenhower Tigers a 7-3 upset victory over the visiting Hutchinson Salthawks last Friday in Goddard. The football game was scoreless through the first half, as the Tigers held the highly-ranked Salthawks to a scoreless tie.

TSnews Volleyball season got underway on Saturday with tournaments at several locations. Campus, Eisenhower and Goddard all took part in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League preseason tournament, which was played in three different locations.

The Goddard-Campus Soccer Tournament kicks off next Tuesday, and will feature the Lions and Colts as well as the Eisenhower Tigers. First- and second-round games on Tuesday and Thursday will take place at both the Goddard District Stadium and at Haysville’s Colt Stadium.

TSnews Even though the hottest part of summer is right now, the high school fall sports season is upon us. That means volleyball, cross country, golf, soccer, tennis and football.
