Roberts swims to new Campus school record

TSnews Campus senior swimmer Sayler Roberts set a new school record, and in the process helped the Colts to a second-place finish at home on April 18. Roberts set a new school record in the 100-yard butterfly, winning the event with a time of 1:00.8.

Tigers’s golfers get out of Dodge with team win

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers went west to Dodge City, and got back out of Dodge with a team championship. They shot 290 as a team – the only team to break 300 – and beat runner- up Bishop Carroll by 10 strokes Salina Sacred Heart (302) and Maize South (303) were next in the team standings.

Clearwater girls, GP boys second at Indians’ meet

TSnews The Clearwater Indians and Garden Plain Owls track teams competed together at Clearwater’s second home meet of the season, with 11 girls teams and 13 boys teams taking part. The Clearwater girls and Garden Plain boys had the best finishes.

Tigers girls second at Andover track

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers girls track team placed second at the April 18 Andover Invitational track and field meet. The Tigers scored 112 points, one of just two teams to break 100.

Raiders run at Caldwell and Norwich

The Argonia Raiders track and field team kicked off last week with a Tuesday meet at Caldwell’s Border Queen Invitational. It was a strong performance for the Raiders, maybe their best of the year.

CS Athlete of the Week Grace Bender Conway Springs Cardinals Conway Springs pole vaulter Grace Bender is this week’s TSnews Athlete of the Week. Bender, a junior, has placed first twice in the Cardinals’ last three meets.

Cheney girls second at Halstead meet

Conway Springs also competes TSnews The Cheney Cardinals placed second at the competitive Conrad Nightengale Invitational Track meet in Halstead, scoring 92.75 points and finishing right behind champion Smoky Valley (99).

Owls host home meet

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls performed well at least Friday’s home participation track and field meet. The Owls turned in several impressive performances, and had multiple placers in a handful of events.
