The Eisenhower Tigers boys golf team shot 287 – one of just two teams to break 300 – to win Monday’s Andover Central invitational at Terradyne Country Club. The Tigers beat Andover Central by just six strokes.

Groundwater levels fall in south-central, western Kansas

LAWRENCE – Average groundwater levels across western and south-central Kansas fell by nearly 2 feet in 2022, according to preliminary data compiled by the Kansas Geological Survey. The KGS, based at the University of Kansas, and the Division of Water Resources (DWR) of the Kansas Department of Agriculture measure about 1,400 wells every year to monitor the health of the High Plains aquifer and other aquifers in western and south-central Kansas.

The Eisenhower Tigers started their baseball season in strong fashion last Friday with a sweep of the Campus Colts in Haysville, taking the opener 15-0 and the nightcap 8-4. Eisenhower hurler Tyner Horn tossed a one-hitter in the opener, striking out five and walking one as just two Colts reached base.

Tigers beat Lions for 3rd in tourney

The Eisenhower Tigers girls soccer team beat the Goddard Lions to take third in the Goddard Invitational tournament last week. The third-place game was played Thursday, March 30, and was a 5-1 win for Eisenhower.

Colts 3rd in Titans Classic

The Campus Colts girls soccer team competed in the red bracket of Wichita South High School’s Lady Titans Classic last week, going 2-1 to finish in third place. The tournament began March 28, when the Colts faced Salina Central and won 2-1.

Swimmers hit State marks in opener

Campus and Clearwater swimmers hit State times for qualification and consideration during the Colts’ season-opening meet on March 28. The Colts easily won the triangular, scoring 264 points at home to beat El Dorado (114) and Classical School of Wichita (69).
Campus High senior Sayler Roberts has secured spots at State swimming early in the season. She qualified for two events in the her first meet, and in two more events two days later.
