The Indians led 13-10 after the opening period, but Winfield used a 26-7 advantage in the second quarter to take a 36-20 lead to the locker room.

Hornets hang on for win over Colts

Argonia girls ride defense past Udall

TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls basketball team used a strong defensive effort to down Udall 47-27 last Tuesday. The Raiders led 15-6 after the opening period and 21-12 at the half, then used a strong third period to take a 36-17 lead to the fourth quarter.

Tigers top Salina team

The Eisenhower Tigers picked up a pair of wins in a dual with the Salina Central Mustangs. The boys won 2492-2150 and the girls won 2001-1609. The dual was held last Thursday.

Jamie Duty of Eisenhower had the only 700-plus series, bowling 747 to place first. Lewis Schneider and Nathan Cox placed third and fourth.

The Eisenhower girls swept the top three spots with Kaitlyn Newell, Faith Pelz and Jordyn Betschart at the top of the standings.
