Cheney girls ride run to win over GP

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals outscored the Garden Plain Owls 20-9 in the third quarter of last Friday’s game in Cheney for a 50-39 win. Both teams came out of the gate hot, with Cheney holding a slim 22-20 lead after the first quarter.

Campus girls win at Wichita North

TSnews The Campus Colts boys and girls wrestling teams finished the 2024 portion of their schedules strong, with the girls winning the Wichita North Invitational last Friday and the boys taking 12th at the Bishop Carroll Invitational last Saturday. On the girls side, the Colts won at Wichita North with 137 points, 14 ahead of second-place Pratt.

GP Owls host Cardinals, Roadrunners for double dual

TSnews The Garden Plain Owls wrestling team wrapped up 2024 by hosting Central Plains League rivals the Cheney Cardinals and Chaparral Roadrunners for a double dual. Chaparral won its duals with Garden Plain and the Cardinals, while the Owls defeated Cheney to win a battle of the birds.

TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys wrestling team finished the 2024 portion of the schedule in strong fashion when it took second last Friday at the Marion County dual tournament. The Indians beat West Elk 54-22, Hesston 60-12 and Minneapolis 51-22 to advance to the semifinals.
