Elnora Mae “Gus” Eshnaur, age 95, passed away Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024, in Cedar Park, Texas. She was born May 26, 1928, in Cheney, the 17th child of 18, the daughter of Parker Allen and Lucy Robertson Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, 17 siblings, and her husband of 64 years, James Lester “Bus” Eshnaur.

Delbert L. Ebersole

Delbert L. Ebersole of Wichita passed away Thursday, Feb. 1, after battling declining health problems.

He was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Wichita to Leo and Ada (Smiley) Ebersole. On Oct. 24, 1969, he married the love of his life, Gayle Ann Morton.They have two daughters, Kimberly and Valoree.

Along with his father, he learned the joy of collecting rocks and turning them into beautiful jewelry and collectibles. Delbert graduated from Goddard High School in 1961, after which he enlisted in the Navy. He learned to work as an electrician onboard the USS Salisbury Sound.

Sherla Mae (Pipkin) Parks

Sherla Mae (Pipkin) Parks passed on to her heavenly home Jan. 29 at the age of 94.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Daryl; parents, Albert and Clara Pipkin; brother, Carl Duane Pipkin; and grandson, Carl Duane Parks. She leaves behind her children, Jerald D. Parks (Debra) of Wellington, Judith E. Akins (Terry) of Victor, Colo., Brenda K. Parks (Michael Freeman) of Wichita, and Douglas S. Parks of Tucson, Ariz.; six grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren' and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Ralph David Oxendine

Ralph David Oxendine, 89, of Cheney, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024 at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center.
Ralph was born on July 7, 1934, in Pierce City, Mo. He was the son of Charley A. Oxendine and Edna Lucile Oxendine. Ralph graduated from Midway High School in 1952. He enlisted with the Army in February 1957. He served in Germany until February 1960, and was a reservist until February 1963. Before leaving for Germany, he married the love of his life, Joan Oxendine, on May 3, 1957. They were married for 65 years before she passed on Oct. 28, 2022.

Jacob ‘Jay’ John Seyffer

Jacob ‘Jay’ John Seyffer, 47, died Jan. 27, 2024, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis Hospital, Wichita. He was born June 17, 1976, in Golden Valley, Minn., to Jacob John Seyffer, Jr. and Joyce Marlys (Herman) Seyffer.

Jay was a 1994 graduate of Clearwater High School, Clearwater. He earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Wichita State University. Jay was an accountant for Mid Kansas Auto Auction, Wichita. He enjoyed online gaming and had a love for animals, especially dogs.

Michael B. Hensley

Michael B. Hensley, age 77, of Clearwater, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Hensley; parents, Arvel “Slim” and Nora Belle (Patterson) Hensley; and brother, Stephen Hensley.

Survivors include his wife, Christy Hensley; son, David Hensley of Kansas City, Mo.; and sister, Melissa Petzschler of Wichita.
