Georgette Lamar

Georgette Lamar (née Santamaria) passed away peacefully on the morning of Dec. 4, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in her home in Belle Plaine at the age of 81.

Georgette was born on May 6, 1942, to Joseph and Marceline Santamaria (née Pappalardo) in Rabat, Morocco. She was the youngest of five children: Joseph, Henri, Chris, Theresa, and Georgette.

Georgette was preceded in death by her husband, Derald Lamar, and her parents, Joseph and Marceline Santamaria. Georgette also was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Santamaria and Henri Santamaria.

Cathy Yvonne Hurley

Cathy Yvonne Hurley, 71, passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2023. She was born Dec. 23, 1951, to Robert and Rosalie Craine, in Oakley.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Survivors include her husband, Ron; children, Tim Glenn, Robert Hurley, Dennis Hurley, Randy Hurley, David Hurley, Nichole Csiki, and Steven Hurley; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Smith Mortuary - Haysville, 7031 S. Broadway Haysville, KS 67060.

Leonard William Henry Voss

Leonard William Henry Voss, 94, of Cheney, entered his eternal heavenly home on Dec. 4, 2023.

Leonard was born on June 7, 1929, at the farm home of his parents, Anna and Otto Voss. He graduated from Cheney High School in 1947 and met his future bride on a blind date. Leonard married Clara Belle Liston on June 1, 1952, at Riverside Methodist Church in Riverside, Iowa.

Randal Duane Holley

Randal Duane Holley, 57, of Cheney, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2023, in Wichita.
Randal was born in Wichita on May 30, 1966, to Gary and Irene (Ruebke) Holley. When he was one
month old, they moved out to the farm in Cheney. Randal attended Cheney schools and graduated in
1985.
He worked 20 years for Hillman’s Dairy Farm, a short time at Case International, 13 years at Cheney
Co-op, and had been working the past year and a half for the Cheney School District as district
maintenance and mail carrier.

Betty Parry, 94, passed away Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023.  She was born August 9th, 1929 to Oval and Dorothy Downen in Alva, Oklahoma.  

Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; son, Alan; great-granddaughter, Chelsie and brother, Roy. Survivors include her daughter, Cinda (Alan) Hosey; grandchildren; Tammy, Misty (Jeremy), Andrea, Cara (Joe), Matthew; great-grandchildren, Keenan, Kenisyn, Kylan, Myra, Connor, Mason, Jenea, Isabelle.

Patricia Ann "Pat" Brundage

Patricia Ann "Pat" Brundage of rural Argonia, Kansas, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother died at her home on Friday, November 24, 2023.

Pat was born on November 27, 1936, in Wellington, Kansas, to Ray B. and Mary (Brewer) Landreth. She  graduated from Wellington High School.

She married Melvin "Kendall" Brundage on December 28, 1955, in Wellington.

Lois Harrington, age 90, of Haysville, passed away, Friday, Nov. 17, 2023.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Haysville United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Harrington; parents, William and Comella Logan; brother, Donald Logan; and an infant brother. Survivors include her children, Patrick (Brenda) Harrington of Millersville, Tenn., and Timothy Harrington and Mary Harrington both of Haysville, and Michael (Sabrina) Harrington of Kansas City, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
