ARGONIA – Student council elections have taken place at Argonia Elementary School. With a record number of students running for STUCO this year, the decision was made to elect three students from each classroom rather than two.

The Shrine Bowl of Kansas, Inc. Board of Directors has announced a 2025 donation of $140,000 to benefit Shriners Children’s.

Sumner Cowley Electric Cooperative has made donations to help several local projects and organizations. The donations were made in a continued commitment to “Cooperative Principle #7; Concern for Community.” These contributions were made possible through the cooperative’s Concern for Community Fund.

Dehydrated foods are gaining in popularity as the costs of home equipment become more affordable, said Kansas State University food scientist Karen Blakeslee.

GODDARD – Theater students at Goddard High School will present “Leaving Iowa,” by Tim Clue and Spike Manton, this Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for students, senior citizens and military members.

TSnews The Cheney High School band started its season with a bang as it won a pair of high honors earlier this month at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. The CHS band earned a 1+ in parade marching and another 1+ in arena performance – the highest honors a band can earn in competition.
