TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council dealt with three property issues at the regular monthly meeting Monday. The council approved an ordinance to rezone property generally located north of East Grand Avenue, northwest of the intersection of South Pirner Drive and East Grand Avenue.

Brianna Barnes TSnews GODDARD – If you have had an itch to sing, Emerald City Chorus (ECC) has a tea party for you. This Goddard-based choir is inviting people to “TEA with ECC.” This guest night will be at the Goddard Church on Monday, 7 to 9:30 p.m.
CONWAY SPRINGS – Students at Conway Springs High School have earned both semester honors and academic honors, which were recently released by the school. Students earning semester honors have a 3.5 or higher grade-point average for the spring 2025 semester.
TSnews HAYSVILLE – Members of the Haysville Chamber of Commerce met some of this year’s Chamber scholarship contest winners during their most recent meeting in late May. The winners of the contest are Cerina Brandt, who will attend Oklahoma State University for hospitality and tourism management; Jeanett Barrera, who will attend Washburn University to major in social work; Grace Black, who will go to Manhattan Christian College to major in youth ministry and intercultural studies; Aleigha Kyle, who will go to Wichita State University to study health sciences to become a nurse; and Brandt Smith, who will attend Kansas State University to major in family and consumer sciences education.
CHENEY – Cheney Fire Rescue and the City of Cheney Maintenance department have begun flushing hydrants throughout Cheney. Water customers may notice lower water pressure and temporary slight discoloration of their water.
GODDARD – The City of Goddard has announced the hiring of Jason Cauley, CPM, as its new public works director. With more than 20 years of experience in municipal operations and infrastructure management, Cauley brings a well-rounded, technical, and grounded leadership style to one of the city’s most vital departments, said city administrator Craig Crossette.
