TSnews GODDARD – The City of Goddard is working on a new 10year capital improvement plan (CIP), and they have been seeking input and feedback. To aid in that process, city leaders met with the public in a meeting last week.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Entries are being accepted for the Conway Springs Fall Fest button for 2025. This year’s theme is “Mardi Gras Masquerade.” The entry deadline is May 31, and Fall Fest will take place Sept.

Credit Union of America (CUA) has awarded $40,520 in Teach, Grow, and Inspire the Future (TGIF) classroom grants to 49 teachers across Kansas. Community market grants went to teachers in the Goddard and Haysville school districts.

TSnews CLEARWATER – During its meeting May 13, the Clearwater City Council held a hearing regarding code violation complaints at 130 N. Grant Street.

HAYSVIILE – City leaders in Haysville want to hear from residents as part of the city's community and economic development survey. The feedback will help city leaders and staff members track progress, prioritize projects, and plan for the future based on what residents say matters most to the them.

TSnews GODDARD – Members of the Goddard Chamber of Commerce had a busy schedule this month, as they gathered for a monthly luncheon and a ribbon cutting for a new business in the area. The new business is Good Natured Cleaning, based in west Wichita and now serving the Goddard and Garden Plain communities.

TSnews GODDARD – Ideas for maintaining and improving Goddard’s city water supply were the focus of a detailed presentation at Monday’s Goddard City Council meeting. The presentation was made by an Ad Hoc Water Committee created by the city.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – A long-awaited event happened last week as the Conway Springs City Council awarded the bid for the first phase of street work in the city. The city reached this point through a long process ranging over a couple of years.

TSnews CHENEY – The Cheney City Council needed some time to discuss priorities, but eventually approved more than $200,000 in paving projects for this summer. The city spends roughly that amount each year on paving projects, which is worth about three blocks of street.

Last Thursday, Doug Billings announced his candidacy for Kansas governor, joining a growing list of candidates and potential candidates for the 2026 election. Billings, a podcaster, bills himself as a MAGA (Make America Great Again) conservative.
