Credit Union of America (CUA) has awarded $40,520 in Teach, Grow, and Inspire the Future (TGIF) classroom grants to 49 teachers across Kansas. Community market grants went to teachers in the Goddard and Haysville school districts.

Conway Springs awards bid for Phase I street work

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – A long-awaited event happened last week as the Conway Springs City Council awarded the bid for the first phase of street work in the city. The city reached this point through a long process ranging over a couple of years.

Cheney approves summer paving projects

TSnews CHENEY – The Cheney City Council needed some time to discuss priorities, but eventually approved more than $200,000 in paving projects for this summer. The city spends roughly that amount each year on paving projects, which is worth about three blocks of street.

List of governor candidates grows

Last Thursday, Doug Billings announced his candidacy for Kansas governor, joining a growing list of candidates and potential candidates for the 2026 election. Billings, a podcaster, bills himself as a MAGA (Make America Great Again) conservative.
