Body TSnews ARGONIA – The City of Argonia has hired Sgt. Tonia Brown as a new police officer.

Body TSnews Karla Wulf, recently retired principal at Ruth Clark Elementary in Haysville, was the recipient of the Tim and Susan Norton Distinguished Service Award this year.

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – Students at Conway Springs Middle School have been named to the 2025 spring honor roll. Students can be named to the principal’s honor roll, or be named honorable mention, based upon their grade-point average.

Body CLEARWATER – Gov. Laura Kelly announced on July 23 that Aaron Tobias of Clearwater was named to the Kansas Advisory Committee for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

Body SUMNER COUNTY – Construction began this week on K-44 Highway in southern Sumner County, the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) announced. The resurfacing project will take place in Sumner and Harper counties, from K2 to K-49.

Body The Sumner County 4-H Council will hold a cookie jar auction during the Wheat Festival Picnic in The Park on Wednesday, July 9. The auction will be at 6 p.m.
