HAYSVIILE – City leaders in Haysville want to hear from residents as part of the city's community and economic development survey. The feedback will help city leaders and staff members track progress, prioritize projects, and plan for the future based on what residents say matters most to the them.

TSnews GODDARD – Members of the Goddard Chamber of Commerce had a busy schedule this month, as they gathered for a monthly luncheon and a ribbon cutting for a new business in the area.

TSnews GODDARD – Ideas for maintaining and improving Goddard’s city water supply were the focus of a detailed presentation at Monday’s Goddard City Council meeting. The presentation was made by an Ad Hoc Water Committee created by the city.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – A long-awaited event happened last week as the Conway Springs City Council awarded the bid for the first phase of street work in the city. The city reached this point through a long process ranging over a couple of years.

TSnews CHENEY – The Cheney City Council needed some time to discuss priorities, but eventually approved more than $200,000 in paving projects for this summer. The city spends roughly that amount each year on paving projects, which is worth about three blocks of street.

Last Thursday, Doug Billings announced his candidacy for Kansas governor, joining a growing list of candidates and potential candidates for the 2026 election. Billings, a podcaster, bills himself as a MAGA (Make America Great Again) conservative.

GODDARD – Walmart in Goddard celebrated its recent remodeling last Friday with a celebration and ribbon cutting. Goddard Mayor George Liebe was on hand with other dignitaries and Walmart leaders to celebrate the occasion.

ARGONIA – The Kansas Municipal Gas Agency (KMGA) has announced that Argonia city clerk Tara Pierce is the newest member of its executive committee, succeeding Stephanie Ashby of Walton. A lifelong resident of Argonia, Pierce grew up on her family farm just south of town.

HAYSVILLE – Last month, the Haysville Education Foundation presented grants to teachers across the district. The grants ranged from $150 to $3,000, and covered a wide variety of projects, events and classroom needs.

TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers softball team concluded the regular season last Thursday by splitting a pair of games, taking down Wichita Northwest 16-0 but falling to Bishop Carroll 4-3.
