Staff report TSnews ARGONIA – Meeting on Dec. 2, the Argonia City Council approved a $3,000 bid from Steve Kraft for demolition of the rodeo arena, located at River Park.
The 30th Judicial District nominating commission has sent the names of three nominees to fill a district judge vacancy in the judicial district. Although the principal office for the position will likely be Sumner County, the district judge filling this position may maintain residency in any of the 30th Judicial District counties.
Staff report TSnews CHENEY – Cheney Police Chief Ken Winter was recently recognized by KWCH TV's “Salute the Badge.” Winter was the November honoree. Salute the Badge recognizes Sedgwick County law enforcement officials who go above and beyond the call of duty.

Haysville Middle School WEB students recently delivered holiday gifts to the Haysville Community Outreach organization. The students fundraised more than $6,200 for gifts, and went on a shopping spree to find gifts for Haysville students in need.
CONWAY SPRINGS – Two students have been named as the December artists of the month at Conway Springs High School. Ava Daniel, a senior and Art 2 student, was chosen for her charcoal drawing entitled “Big Mama.” It is on display this month at Conway Springs City Hall.
HARVEY COUNTY – A 41-year-old man from Goddard is dead from injuries sustained in a weekend hunting accident south of Burrton. The Harvey County Sheriff ’s Office reported that Aaron Snook died at the scene from an accidental shooting Deputies were called to the scene just after 7 a.m.
