The USD 356 Conway Springs Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday.

CLEARWATER – The Clearwater High School electorally race team traveled to Hays on Sept. 26 and brought home the first-place plaque for standard class.

The Sumner County Extension Council represents the citizens of Sumner County. The council members are elected to a two-year term.

GODDARD – The City of Goddard has announced that court clerk Cathy Schroeder has been awarded the 2024 Outstanding Court Clerk award. Each year, the Kansas Association for Court Management (KACM) presents an Outstanding Court Clerk award to someone who has contributed to their profession in ways that stand out.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Several local residents made their concerns known at last week's Conway Springs City Council meeting over a neighbor just outside the city limits who they say has aggressive dogs and disturbs their peace with loud music. The residents noted that the problems they are having have been going on too long.

TSnews Ron Witt and Shirley Palmer- Witt have been named grand marshals for the 2024 Clearwater Fall Festival. Clearwater Lions Club president Steve Hatfield said the couple was chosen for the honor based on their many volunteer involvements in the community.

TSnews Each weekday in the communities of Argonia, Cheney, Clearwater, Conway Springs, Haysville and now Goddard, healthy lunches are provided at senior centers and delivered to seniors ages 60 and older who are unable to get out. The meals are grouped into two categories, congregate and delivery.

ARGONIA – The seventh annual Argonia Car Show and Street Races will be this Saturday. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

WICHITA – Sedgwick County Environmental Resources will host a free household hazardous waste collection event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday at Spirit AeroSystems, K-15 and MacArthur St., in Parking Lot P.
