GODDARD – One of the largest herds of giraffe in the United States just got even bigger. Tanganyika Wildlife Park’s herd has grown by three, recently welcoming two male and one female calves to the herd.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Nearly 50 years ago, the bandshell in Conway Springs' Central Park was falling apart and scheduled to be torn down. Built in 1910, the bandshell was a literal shell of its former self in 1975, the victim of neglect and vandalism.

HAYSVILLE – The Haysville city council formally approved the 2025 budget at Monday’s council meeting after holding a pair of public hearings. State law requires a public hearing when a taxing body plans to raise more revenue than it did in the previous year, which is known as exceeding the revenue neutral rate.
