Life lessons learned from job at Vickers

TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Vickers Petroleum Service Station on Main Street in Haysville serves as a fantastic piece of history and is currently the home of the City of Haysville Development Office. Years ago, however, it was one of several gas stations within sight of each other.

Fall Fest comes to Conway Springs

CONWAY SPRINGS – Conway Springs is gearing up for the 33rd annual Fall Festival event, taking place this Saturday. The theme is “Circus Spectacular.” In addition to Saturday’s events, a few activities and food are scheduled for Friday night as well as a Sunday worship in the park.

Conway Springs native wins $1,000 scholarship

TSnews WELLINGTON – Now that Janel Meyer is busy at college, she’s especially glad for her connection with Conway Springs and Sumner County. Meyer was the scholarship winner this year from the Sumner County Farm Bureau Association.

Woods family honored for Century Farm

TSnews Randy and Deanna Woods are recipients of a Sedgwick County Farm Bureau Century Farm Award, honoring them and their family for 100 continuous years of ownership of the same agricultural land. Deanna is Randy’s mother, and Randy said he applied for the award primarily in honor of her.
