Argonia City Council looks at fire department purchases

TSnews ARGONIA – Fire chief Paul Conklin reported that the City of Argonia was awarded $5,550 from the state fire marshal’s office. Conklin said he had requested just more than $11,000 to purchase four new bunker suits for firefighters.

TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – If you’ve got a past due water bill with the City of Conway Springs, City Hall staff is working to help you catch up. At last week’s city council meeting, city staff members reported on their efforts to collect past due water bills.
Haysville approves charter ordinance for bond issues

TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council approved a charter ordinance at Monday’s meeting that will allow funding of capital improvement projects by resolution rather than a public vote. The ordinance has been on the council’s agenda since September, when it was tabled so more information could be gathered.
