Following are next week’s menus for Friendship Meals and Meals on Wheels in both Sedgwick County and Sumner County. A change was made recently, and there are now different menus for Sedgwick County and Sumner County.

Homecoming festivities were held last week at Clearwater High School and Conway Springs High School, culminating with crowning ceremonies at last Friday’s home football games. At left, Izzy Buchman and Aiden Snell were crowned as Clearwater’s homecoming queen and king. At Conway Springs, Jacob Osner and Olivia Lange were announced as homecoming king and queen. The Haysville Community Library is closed due to a bed bug infestation.

The Haysville Community Library is closed due to a bug infestation. The infestation was discovered on Saturday, and exterminators are working to diagnose the situation and find a solution.

Library director Ken Bell said the bugs are only on the main floor of the library.

He added that they are starting an extermination regime on Thursday, but the earliest the library could reopen is Oct. 6.

HAYSVILLE—Sunny Hibachi, Sushi, and Indonesian Food may be seeing some modest success but head chef and owner Muhamad Sani would like to see more. Sani wants to reinvigorate his restaurant venue with a few much needed updates, namely to the ceiling and walls.
