TSnews GODDARD – The Goddard city council formally approved the city’s 2024 budget at Monday’s meeting after a pair of public hearings. The city had to hold a hearing to adopt a resolution to exceed the revenue neutral rate and a hearing on the budget itself.

CONWAY SPRINGS – A new fire truck for fighting certain types of fires has been approved for the Conway Springs Fire Department. At their meeting last week, members of the city council discussed a bid for an RO-Brush Truck that would be used to fight fuel fires, grass fires and back yard fire calls.

Next Thursday, the Goddard Puppet Ladies will be performing “Chicken Little” at the Goddard Public Library. The show is free, but all individuals must reserve a ticket because space is limited.

Drained water tower leads to boil order

Staff report TSnews GARDEN PLAIN – The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) on Monday rescinded a boil water advisory for the City of Garden Plain public water supply system located in Sedgwick County. The boil order was issued last Friday and remained in effect through the weekend.
