3B’s Bar and Grill is now open at 8721 S. Broadway, in the former home of Char Broil House. Janelle Brewer, who co-owns and manages the establishment, is a firsttime small business owner who has worked previously as a bartender, including across the street at Uncle Sam’s Bar. Opening her own place represents a dream come true, she said, so she doesn’t mind working four 16-hour days every week while she grows the bar and grill’s clientele.

Eight new trees including two sycamores, three sweet gum trees, two cypresses, and one flowering peach were planted in Salter Park. Bert Wible, Atchinson Nurseries, Caldwell, brought the trees to Argonia and supervised the planting.

She had met a coach at Bethel College during a summer camp, and he is now in his first year as an assistant at JCCC. “I went up there. It’s amazing, the facilities they have. I realized it’s going to be a great opportunity.”

Zoglmann to take STAR Event to Nationals

Cardinal Times CONWAY SPRINGS – Last year, FCCLA sponsor Darcy Jaeger brought about the idea of doing STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events. STAR Events are various projects students complete using planning skills and leadership skills.

Graduations begin this week

After four years of hard work, high school seniors will begin receiving their diplomas this week. Most local graduations will take place by the end of this weekend, with the final ones happening next weekend.
