EHS’ McCarty named BPA national champion

Body GODDARD – Eisenhower BPA students represented EHS and the state of Kansas at the highest possible levels last week in Anaheim, Calif. There were 6,482 students in attendance, with 21 from Eisenhower.

Haysville will study future water needs

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville City Council approved a water supply and treatment study at Monday’s monthly meeting. “Water is arguably the most important commodity to a community and its growth,” public works director Tony Martinez told the council.

Sumner County wheat plot tours set

Body Area farmers, crop producers and everyone with an interest are invited to attend Sumner County wheat plot tours, which will start next Thursday and continue on May 23-24. The first day and stop is next Thursday at the Conway Springs plot, starting at 6 p.m.

Presentation to focus on history of Drury

Body WELLINGTON – The Sumner County Historical and Genealogical Society will host “Drury: Playground of Kansas & Oklahoma,” presented by Jim Bales and Amber Countryman, at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Cowley College, Short General Education Center, Room 113, 2208 Davis-White Loop, Wellington.
