Connected to the land

Body
CHENEY – This is only the fourth week that the new Anchor Farm has been providing produce in Cheney and Yoder, but Shelby Beyer’s family farm has been years in the making. Situated on 20 acres just outside of Cheney, Beyer – with the help of her husband, Brad, and their two children – is working to turn a dream into reality.
Shelby Beyer of Cheney has worked with her family to start Anchor Farm, located just outside of town. She follows regenerative agriculture principles in her operation, which recently started offering produce for sale in Cheney. Here, she is holding a goat from Jako Farm near Yoder. She sells produce there and works for the farm part-time. She has been caring for the goat, which needs to be bottle-fed. Travis Mounts/TSnews
