Obituaries

Eugena L. Burdorf, 88, of Cheney, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2024. She was born on May 1, 1936, in Goddard, to Dick and Almyra Ayres. She was one of 16 children and lived on a farm during her childhood.

Vivian Lynn Eccles, 77, of Cheney passed away Aug. 12, 2024, at the Cheney Golden Age Home. She was born on Feb. 12, 1947, at LeRoy, Kan. She was the daughter of Helmuth and Louise (Beckmann) Gleue. She was raised in LeRoy and graduated from LeRoy High School in 1965.

Marlin Eugene Daley, age 67, passed away on Monday, Aug. 5, 2024. Memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17, at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary Clearwater. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leeland and Ruthelma (Harold) Daley, and brother-in-law, Rudy Beck.

Glen L. Mourning, 82, passed away on Aug. 7, 2024. He was born in Mound Valley, Kan., to John and Elsie Mourning on Sept. 3, 1941. Glen married Joyce Wolke on Oct. 12, 1968, and together they had three children, Lori, Vicki and Eric. Glen was a machinist at Blanchat Machine in Wichita for 42 years.

Joyce E. Lehner (Zerener), age 91, of Cheney, passed away peacefully, in the early morning, on Friday, Aug. 9, 2024.

Roy H. Pulliam age 71, passed away on Saturday, Aug 3, 2024.

Roy Glenn Eccles, 82, of Cheney, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024, at his home. He was born Feb.

Dorothy “Dottie” (Riegel) Dalbom Bowline, 95, passed away July 26, 2024 in Amarillo, Texas. Dorothy was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Great Bend, the second child of Virgel and Harriet Riegel. She graduated from Great Bend High School and continued her education at Ottawa University.

Marjorie D. Walsh, 87, retired facility director for the University of Kansas Medical School, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. She loved to work with flowers and was involved with her church. Marjorie loved the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mark William Barber age 67, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 5, from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present 5:30-7 p.m., at Webb-Shinkle Mortuary, Clearwater. Graveside service will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday Aug. 6, at Clearwater Cemetery.
