Jack L. Cox, 90, retired farmer and Cessna employee, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford and Opal (Tarter) Cox; his loving wife of more than 50 years, Vera; his granddaughter, Andrea Cox; and his four siblings, Barb Billings, and Dean, Rex and Tommy Cox. Jack is survived by his sons, Steve (Tammy) Cox, Kevin (Darlene) Cox, and Kent (Tori) Cox; his seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and half-sister, Henrietta Hatch.

Jeanette C. Robben, 84, retired register nurse entered into the hands of the Lord on May 7, 2024.

She was born on January 23, 1940 to Raymond and Leona (Gabel) Jostes in Beloit. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Richard Jostes, James Jostes, and Mary (Daryel) Ryberg. Jeanette is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Henry; children, Jennifer (David) Kidd, John (Kay) Robben, Rebecca (Jared) McGinley, Diana (Brad) Stevens, and Joseph (Gwen) Robben, 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Darren A. Pokorski, age 47, of Haysville, Eagle Scout and master electrician, passed away, Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Rosary will be at 10 a.m. and funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m., with a lunch to follow, on Wednesday, May 8, at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, Haysville.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Pokorski Jr. Survivors include his son, Malaki (Tiara) Jones; mother, Michele Pokorski; brothers, Edward (Kate) Pokorski, Shawn (Shivaun) Pokorski; niece, Tatyanna Pokorski; nephews, Conner and Maddix Pokorski; and very good friend, Mandy.

Ed Garrison, 50, of Bucklin, died Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at St. Catherine’s of Dodge City.
He was born Sept. 16, 1973 in Wichita, the son of James and Donnie (Miller) Garrison. He was a graduate of Conway Springs High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. He married Crystal Mooney on Feb. 11, 1995, at Minneola.

William Trautner, age 83, of Cheney, sadly left us on March 29, 2024. He was born in Rochester, Minn., on June 16, 1940, to John Sylvester Trautner and Oridene Baker.

Marvin Ray Kline

Body

Marvin Ray Kline, 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at his home in Milan, where he grew up.
He was born on Nov. 8, 1942, in Wellington to Melvin and Maxine (Deffenbaugh) Kline. He attended Milan school for 11 years and graduated from Argonia High School in 1960. He attended Oklahoma Christian College for one year. He was drafted into the Army and served from 1964 to 1966.

Nondis Fisher, 93, of Shawnee, formerly of Cheney, passed away April 3, 2024.
She worked for Southwestern Bell telephone company and was a member of First Baptist Church, Shawnee, Kan.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., and funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday April 13, at First Baptist Church of Shawnee. 
Graveside service will be at 12 p.m. Monday, April 15, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Norwich.
