Ranz takes silver in 5A pole vault

Body TSnews Ella Ranz of Eisenhower High School capped her high school track and field career with the pole vault silver medal in Class 5A at last weekend’s State track and field meet.

One gold, two silvers for Conway Springs

Body TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals girls track and field team earned a gold medal and two silvers at last weekend’s Class 2A competition at the State track and field meet, as the Cardinals collected a total of six medals. Eleven different girls and boys competed.

Williams goes top 20 at 3A

Body Cheney’s Kooper Williams finished in a two-way for 16th place at last week’s Class 3A State tournament, played at Lake Shawnee Golf Course. Williams shot 80 on Tuesday to make the final cut, and shaved four strokes off on Wednesday to finish with a 36-hole score of 156.

Goddard, Eisenhower golfers top Class 5A State

Body TSnews The best golfers in Class 5A come from the Goddard community – two of them, at least. The Goddard Lions’ Cohen Museousky won the Class 5A State golf tournament last week, shooting 143 over 36 holes to win the individual title by two strokes.

State basketball to be centered around Wichita

Body Starting in 2028, the semifinal and final sites for all classes of State basketball will be in or around Wichita. The announcement was made on May 21 by Visit Wichita and the Kansas State High School Activities Association.
