Body TSnews With two shutout victories last week, the Eisenhower Tigers have secured the top seed in Class 5A West. The Tigers beat Rose Hill 2-0 in Goddard on May 12, and then beat Andover Central 1-0 in Andover on May 14.

Body TSnews Three swimmers and divers from this year’s Campus Colts team will take part in this week’s State tournament in Lenexa. Joslyn Cox, a Campus junior, will compete in diving, which begins on Thursday.

Body TSnews PRAIRIE VILLAGE – The Conway Springs Cardinals boys tennis team’s tough regular-season schedule once again paid off with a solid finish at the Class 3-2-1A State tournament last Friday and Saturday at the Harmon Park Tennis Complex.

Body TSnews The Eisenhower Tigers will send their full team to the Class 5A State golf tournament after finishing in the top three at Monday’s regional at Smoky Hill Country Club in Salina. The Tigers shot 324 to tie DeSoto for second place.

Body The Conway Springs Cardinals girls track and field team place first at last week’s meet hosted by Chaparral High School. The Cardinals scored 155 points in their best team performance this season.

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions baseball team entered this week on a four-game winning streak after taking a pair of games at Arkansas City last Friday, 12-2 in the opener and 8-2 in the nightcap. Last Wednesday, the Lions beat Wichita Northwest 2-0.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals softball team improved to 17-3 on the season last Thursday as it took a pair from the Conway Springs-Argonia Reds, 6-3 and 12-4, respectively. Last Monday, the Cardinals were swept by El Dorado, 8-0 in the opener and 6-2 in the nightcap.

Body The Campus Colts swam to second place at the May 5 Derby Invitational, held at Campus High School. Derby was the clear winner with 451 points.

Body The Eisenhower boys placed third in Monday’s Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. II tournament, played in Salina.
