Cardinals take third at Pratt

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team traveled to Park Hills Golf Course in Pratt on Monday for a nine-hole tournament and took third place with a score of 217 points. Hailey Wells and Raegen Black medaled after taking fifth and sixth, respectively, with scores of 50 and 51.

Raiders three-peat at Norwich

TSnews The Argonia Raiders volleyball team made winning its third Norwich Invitational in a row last Saturday almost look easy. The Raiders lost just one set last Saturday as they ran the table at the event.

Lions celebrate homecoming week

GODDARD – It is homecoming week at Goddard High School, and the celebration will culminate on Friday night with crowning of the queen and king. The ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m.

ARGONIA – Argonia High School will host fall homecoming on Friday night, as the Argonia-Attica Titans football team plays host to the Cedar Vale-Dexter Spartans. This year’s king candidates are seniors Lincoln Warner, Joshua Gregg and Silas Boetcher.

Cheney Cardinals corral Holcomb Longhorns

The Cheney Cardinals won their 14th straight game with a 38-7 home victory over the Holcomb Longhorns last Friday. The Cardinals strung together 13 wins in 2023 for a perfect season and the Class 3A State champion, the school’s first-ever football title.

Indians defuse the Rockets for home win

The Clearwater Indians dominated the visiting Rose Hill Rockets to open the season on Friday night, winning 35-14. It was a good start for the Indians, who managed just two victories in 2023.
