TSnews The Garden Plain Owls dominated the Kingman Eagles girls basketball team for a homecoming victory last Friday, 50-21. The Eagles hung with the Owls for part of the first quarter, but a 7-0 Garden Plain run gave the Owls a 12-4 lead after one quarter.

Raiders drop close one at Cedar Vale/Dexter

TSnews The Argonia Raiders boys basketball team came painfully close to pulling out a win at Cedar Vale/ Dexter last Friday night, but came up short at the end in a 62-61 loss. The Raiders led 15-13 after the opening period and 35-30 at the intermission, but Cedar Vale/Dexter cut the lead to 48-46 by the start of the fourth quarter before pulling it out at the end.

Argonia girls keep winning with defense

TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls basketball team won its 15th game in a row last Friday when it took a 4816 triumph at Cedar Vale/ Dexter. “The girls continue to improve each game,” Argonia coach Morgan Grippin said.

CSHS girls start new winning streak

TSnews The Conway Springs Cardinals boys basketball team celebrated homecoming last Friday with a 65-41 win over Central Plains League foe Belle Plaine. The Cardinals led 14-10 after the opening period, but extended their lead to 31-16 by halftime and took a 53-25 lead to the fourth quarter.

Fast run gives Owls homecoming win

TSnews The Garden Plain boys basketball picked up a winter homecoming victory last Friday, as the Owls beat the Kingman Eagles 52-43. The teams battled back-and-fourth for more than three quarters, with the Owls leading the Eagles by 2 points at halftime and by 4 points at the end of the third quarter, 36-32.

Cheney tops Trinity in key CPL game

TSnews Two wins last week have extended the Cheney Cardinals boys basketball team’s win streak to nine games. On Friday, the Cardinals beat the Trinity Academy Knights 55-46.

TSnews The Campus Colts boys basketball team held on for a 71-62 win over the visiting Goddard Lions last Friday, in an inter-divisional match-up in the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League. It was a good win for Campus after suffering a tough loss earlier in the week at Derby.
