Lions send five to State

Body TSnews The Goddard Lions wrestling team will have five wrestlers representing them in the girls division of the Class 5A State wrestling tournament after a strong performance at the Class 5A West regional at Newton last weekend.

Indians lose fifth in a row

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians boys basketball team’s losing streak hit five games when it fell 66-28 at Pratt on Monday. The Indians fall to 3-16 with the loss.

Lady Owls ground the Eagles

Body TSnews The Garden Plain Owls dominated the Kingman Eagles girls basketball team for a homecoming victory last Friday, 50-21. The Eagles hung with the Owls for part of the first quarter, but a 7-0 Garden Plain run gave the Owls a 12-4 lead after one quarter.

Argonia girls keep winning with defense

Body TSnews The Argonia Raiders girls basketball team won its 15th game in a row last Friday when it took a 4816 triumph at Cedar Vale/ Dexter. “The girls continue to improve each game,” Argonia coach Morgan Grippin said.

Cheney tops Trinity in key CPL game

Body TSnews Two wins last week have extended the Cheney Cardinals boys basketball team’s win streak to nine games. On Friday, the Cardinals beat the Trinity Academy Knights 55-46.
