District Attorney warns of Amazon scam

A Wichita man in his mid-70s recently fell victim to a scam that cost him $15,000, according to the office of Sedgwick County District Attorney Marc Bennett. Last summer, the man received a call from someone who claimed to be with Amazon.

GODDARD – The Dam Jam Music Festival won’t be in Goddard this summer. The festival announced on Monday that it is moving to the Winfield Fairgrounds and will hold the festival one week earlier on the calendar, on July 18-19.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Members of the Conway Springs City Council closed out 2024 by taking action on junk cars and parked RVs in the community. Tackling these issues had been a discussion item for the council in the final months of the year, and at their meeting in December, council members took action on two ordinances that addressed both of the issues for the community.
