The registrar’s office at Cowley College has released the names of students who earned spots on the president’s and dean’s honor rolls for the fall 2023 semester. Students listed on the president’s honor roll earned 4.0 grade-point averages, on a 4.0 scale, and completed a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Newman University officials have announced the students who completed the requirements to earn a degree at the close of the 2024 spring semester. Following is a list of the local graduates.

Southwestern College held Commencement exercises on May 5 in Winfield. The ceremony was preceded by receptions for graduates and their families, and the Order of the Mound honorary society induction which represents the top 10 percent academically.

GODDARD – Kiara Pavlik was among 3,484 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises May 3, 17 and 18. She received a bachelor of science in microbiology with high distinction from the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources..

Local students recently earned degrees from Benedictine College in Atchison. The college graduated 485 students during ceremonies on May 11. It was the largest graduating class in the school's history.

CLEARWATER – Corbin Smith, a graduate of Clearwater High School, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Drury University in Springsfield, Mo. Students must earn a grade-point average of 3.6 or higher to earn honors..

TSnews CLEARWATER – During its June 25 meeting, the Clearwater City Council renewed consideration of a developer's incentive request that first came before the governing body last month. This time, comments from Mayor Burt Ussery, together with a lack of any action to establish an incentive, made it clear that the request was being declined.

Southern New Hampshire University has announced the students named to the winter 2024 president's list, which ran from January to May. Students earning honors were Margo Tucker and Jessica Le-Doux, both of Goddard.

HAYSVILLE – Jesse Mort of Haysville is among the students in the spring 2024 graduating class at Washburn University in Topeka. More than 1,200 students earned degrees from Washburn University, Washburn University School of Law, and Washburn Institute of Technology.
