Waugh’s veggies shine at Fair

Body TSnews GARDEN PLAIN – Each year, Kennedy Waugh’s parents let her choose what vegetables she wants to grow for the Sedgwick County Fair. This year, her choices got some hard-earned recognition.

Sebes shines in Open Class, 4-H events

Body TSnews Jeff Sebes, a 13-yearold from Valley Center, brought home top prizes in both Open Class and 4-H competitions at this year’s Sedgwick County Fair. Sebes caught the eye of the judge as well as many visitors to the Open Class building with a painting of a rooster.

Body HAYSVILLE – The Haysville Chamber of Commerce meet on Thursday, July 23, at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Keever- Wire Post 6957 in Haysville. New VFW Commander Michael “Mikey” Legg welcomed Chamber members.

Body SUMNER COUNTY – The Sumner County Extension Council executive board is seeking nominations for Extension council elections to be held in October. The Sumner County Extension Council is composed of 24 county members who are elected to four program development areas.
