The halls of Kyle Trueblood Elementary School were filled with excitement today as students, teachers, and staff officially kicked off the 2026–2027 school year!

Conway Springs Middle School students officially began the 2026-27 school year on Thursday, Aug. 20. Teachers and staff have been preparing classrooms and lessons in anticipation of welcoming students back and getting the year off to a strong start.

Dear Students, Families, and Staff, Welcome back to a new school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with opportunities to relax, spend time with family and friends, and create lasting memories.

I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to serve as the Superintendent of Conway Springs USD 356. As we get ready to start a new school year, I am excited about what is ahead and, most of all, about watching our students learn, grow, and become the best versions of themselves.

ARGONIA – An American Red Cross blood drive will take place in Argonia next week. The blood drive will run 12-6 p.m.

GODDARD – Rachel Grant of Goddard graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln on Aug. 15, receiving her master’s of professional accountancy.

High school students from across the State of Kansas participated in the 2026 session of the American Legion Boys State of Kansas, held May 31 through June 6 at Kansas State University in Manhattan. This was the program’s 34th consecutive session at KSU and 88th overall.
