Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – The city of Haysville is about to mark its Diamond Anniversary and with that in mind, mayor Russ Kessler at Monday’s city council meeting declared July 3 as the formal celebration of the city’s 75th anniversary of incorporation.

Body CLEARWATER – Students have been named to the honor rolls as Clearwater High School. Depending on the their grade-point average, students were named to the all-A honor roll, the honor roll or honorable mention.

Body All-league honors have been released for area softball leagues, and local teams are well-represented. Four teams went to their respective State tournaments: the Campus Colts in Class 6A, the Eisenhower Tigers in 5A, and Andale-Garden Plain and Clearwater in 4A.

Body TSnews There will be a new name for Wichita’s Minor League Baseball team starting next season. The team now known as the Wind Surge will rebrand itself as the Turbo Tubs for 2027, with the changeover starting this fall after the conclusion of the 2026 season.

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – Karyn Bell-Simon has found a place to feel at home in Haysville, so when the city recently announced a contest to design the logo for its upcoming 75th anniversary celebration, she could not pass it up.

Body CHENEY – The Cheney School District is holding a community event to wish a happy retirement for outgoing superintendent Marc Woofter. It also will serve as a welcome for incoming superintendent Stacy Graff.

Body CHENEY – The annual Run to Cheney will take place on Saturday, July 11, as part of the Sedgwick County Fair in Cheney. Sign-up for the race is underway and available online.
