Body TSnews CONWAY SPRINGS – Several ideas for improvements within Central Park were discussed last week by the Conway Springs City Council. Those discussions included ideas for the park's iconic band shell, the Scout Hut, the historic spring house, and a new park bench.

Body TSnews HAYSVILLE – The Haysville Community Library has received a $3,333 grant, along with some addition funds, to improve accessibility and inclusivity.

Body TSnews GODDARD – The walking trail in Goddard's Linear Park will soon have two new connections to the surrounding areas to the north, west of Main Street. At Monday night's regular meeting, Goddard City Council members approved spending more than $36,000 for the project.

Body ARGONIA – The Quilt of Valor group South Central Kansas Quilters presented five quilts at the Argonia Alumni Banquet on Memorial Day. The recipients were honored for their sacrifices and loyalty to their country.

Body CHENEY – The names of the Cheney High School honor roll students have been released. Students named were included on the spring semester honor roll.

Body TSnews CLEARWATER – The public is invited to come out Saturday for the Hammers Prairie Park and Nature Center grand opening and dedication of the Robert J. Hammers memorial.

Body GODDARD – An online fundraiser has been established by the family of the Goddard man shot recently at Walmart in Goddard. Kelly Zehring, the mother of Anakin, the teenage victim of the shooting, has set up a GoFundMe account to help offset costs.

Body CONWAY SPRINGS – Conway Springs Middle School has released the names of its honor roll students for the fourth quarter of the 2023-24 school year. Students were named either to the principal's honor roll or were named honorable mention, based on grade-point average.

Body CHENEY – Vouchers for use at farmers markets are currently available at Cheney City Hall. The vouchers are for people age 60 and older who meet income guidelines.
