It’s been an interesting couple of weeks for basketball fans from Kansas. No, we don’t have a dog in the NCAA fight anymore, following K-State’s heartbreaking loss this past Saturday to Florida Atlanta.

GODDARD – A pair of walls in the Dove Estates game room speak volumes without ever saying a word. It’s on these two adjoining walls that a mural commissioned by Dove Estates founder John Dugan began taking shape recently.

CLEARWATER – After an absence of more than a decade, donkey basketball returned to Clearwater High School. The March 21 event featured four teams taking part in a three-game tournament, with funds benefitting the C-Club – Clearwater High’s letterman’s club.

CONWAY SPRINGS – Conway Springs Middle School has released the names of students named to the honor roll for the third nine weeks of this school year. Students were named either to the principal’s honor roll or earned honorable mention.

CHENEY – Three Cheney Middle School VEX Robotics teams qualified for advancement to the World Competition by winning the Excellence Award, the Tournament Finalist Award and the Robot Skills Competition Championship at the VEX Robotics Competition that took place in Wichita on March 3.

GODDARD – The annual Neighbors United event will take place at the end of April. This annual event brings community members, organizations, and businesses together for a day of volunteering.
