The Argonia Raiders girls track and field team finished fourth at last Friday’s South Central Border League meet, held at Caldwell High School. The Raiders scored 72 points.
The Clearwater girls track and field team finished fourth among six teams at the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League meet in Wellington last Friday. The Indians scored 90 points, coming in 12 points behind the host Crusaders.
TSnews Two out of four boys tennis teams in the TSnews coverage area emerged from regional meets on May 2-3 with some State bids in hand. For the Eisenhower Tigers, singles player Kyle King extended a strong season by placing second in a Class 5A Regional played May 3 at Arkansas City.
TSnews The Garden Plain girls and boys teams both were championships at Remington High School’s Larry Brown Invitational, held in Whitewater last Friday. The Owls racked up a lot of points and a good deal of first-place finishes.
TSnews The Conway Springs girls track and field team had one of its best finishes of the season, as the Cardinals placed second at the Chaparral track meet last Friday. Chaparral was the runaway winner in the girls’ competition with 153 points.
TSnews The Campus Colts girls soccer team got a win at their second home field in Clearwater on Friday, May 3, beating the Salina South Cougars 2-1. “We needed that game,” Colts head coach Casey Reece said.
