Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals and Conway Springs-Argonia Reds baseball teams split a doubleheader last Thursday at Cheney, with the Cardinals taking the opener 10-0 and the Reds taking the nightcap 3-1.

Body TSnews The Goddard and Eisenhower boys track and field teams finished fourth and fifth, respectively at last Friday’s Goddard track meet. The Lions scored 76 points, while the Tigers had 53.

Body TSnews The Clearwater Indians softball team made the most of its inaugural softball showcase last weekend, winning all three games and improving to 18-5 on the season.

Body TSnews The Cheney Cardinals boys golf team came out on top of last Friday’s 36hole Hillsboro and Marion County golf tournament, where teams play 18 holes each at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course and Marion Country Club. Hillsboro and Marion are about 15 miles apart from each other.

Body TSnews The Argonia Raiders track and field team went to Pretty Prairie last Thursday. Seven of the nine teams they competed against will be at their Class 1A regional next week.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts track and field teams went to Derby last Friday. It was a good meet for the Campus boys, who placed third among 11 teams that scored points.

Body TSnews The Campus Colts swimmers and divers placed second in home waters at the April 30 Derby invitational, which took place at Campus High School. Derby was the winner of the eight-team event with 538 points.

Body CHENEY – There is still time to sign up for the seventh annual Cheney High School Band golf tournament. This year, the band department is raising money to purchase new drumline equipment.

Body TSnews Kyle King won an AVCTL Div. 2 title for the Eisenhower Tigers, the highlight result among boys tennis players in the TSNews coverage area competing in their league tournaments on Monday.
