Owls race past Roadrunners in district opener

Body TSnews The Garden Plain Owls football team recorded its biggest win of the season last Friday, scoring a 49-0 home win over the Chaparral Roadrunners. The Owls had this game in the bag by halftime, and were able to play a number of younger players in the second half.

Lions pound out 400 yards to beat Bulldogs

Body TSnews There was no rescuing the Arkansas City Bulldogs as the visiting Goddard Lions pounded out 423 rushing yards in last Friday’s 45-13 football win. The Lions’ offensive game is almost totally ground-based.

Cheney continues winning ways

Body TSnews The No. 2-ranked Cheney Cardinals are playing some of the best football in Class 3A, and they kept their undefeated start to the season going with last Friday’s 49-0 road victory at the Pratt Greenbacks.

Body TSnews Several area schools competed at the Goddard Invitational last Thursday. The Goddard High Varsity boys placed first as a team on their home turf with a score of 68.
