The Goddard Lions volleyball team had a long day last Saturday at the Arkansas City Invitational, going 1-3 at the tournament. The Lions lost to Mulvane 23-25, 22-25, Clearwater 17-25, 20-25 and Andover Central 17-25, 1925, but beat Winfield 25-17, 25-19.

TSnews The Clearwater Indians earned not one, but two, big wins over powerful competition on the volleyball court last week. First, the Indians downed perennial State title contender Andale in three sets last Tuesday at Andale, 25-20, 19-25, 2522 to sweep a triangular that also included a 25-18, 25-15 win over Mulvane.

Cardinals compete at Nickerson

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals girls golf team took seventh at the nine-team Nickerson tournament early last week. The Cardinals shot 250, coming in just two strokes behind sixth-place Medicine Lodge and nine strokes in back of fifth-place Hesston.
