Eli Ribaudo looked up to the challenge in his first start at quarterback, throwing a pair of first-half touchdowns to help the Tigers to a 33-0 halftime lead.

Trojans pop Lions for overtime win

Cards give Owls first loss, extend win streak

TSnews With a 28-7 victory last Friday in Garden Plain, the Cheney Cardinals extended their win streak over the Owls to six games. It’s a turnaround in a series that saw more wins by Garden Plain and Cheney, including a run of 13 straight victories from the 2000 season through 2012.

Titans fall to Central in double overtime

TSnews The Argonia-Attica Titans and Central Burden Raiders were locked in a tight battle throughout last Friday’s game, which ultimately was decided on a 2-point conversion that gave the Raiders a 22-20 double-overtime win over the Titans in Attica. It was a scoreless game through three quarters, as the teams kept each other from finding any points.

Indians run over Wildcats for first victory

TSnews The Cheney Cardinals volleyball team put an up-and-down start to its season in the rearview mirror last Saturday as the Cardinals repeated as champions of the Coleman Classic in Haven. The Cardinals won all five of their matches at Haven, downing Haven 25-22, 25-21, Kingman 2522, 25-12, Inman 25-18, 26-24, Garden Plain 26-24, 25-17 and Hutchinson Trinity 25-9, 25-11.
